but this tradition is a little stressful.

On multiple occasions Charlie has forgotten to move during the night,

which requires me to bribe Emmett to stay in bed.

We need to get a punch card

Guess where we ended up on Sunday night?

You guessed it, the E.R.

So, let me start with why we were there.

E was getting into his seat for dinner,

slipped, fell, and smacked his little chin against the chair.

Out came the horrific scream that makes your heart sink,

I checked to see if he had all of his teeth (he did)

noticed the gash on the inside of his lip

carried him into the kitchen laid him down and saw the split on the outside as well

and away we went.

to the new E.R. at Swedish in Mill Creek

very friendly staff, very clean and very speedy.

in and out of there in a little over and hour!

He truly is the toughest/bravest boy I know.

Cried on the way there,

but not one tear once we got inside the hospital.

"that is awesome"

is all we kept hearing about his little monitor.

of course that was the versed talking, I think.

I told him that I didn't want to see him like this again until he is 21.

right...you all know who is dad is.

Our little man got his first stitches Sunday,

4 on the inside and 2 on the outside.

such a trooper.

Inside that blue vomit bag is Linus the koala beanie baby

one of the nurses brought it in for him and he fell in love immediately.

what's the bag for?

that would be Linus' "blanklet" of course!

Little man, can we please keep these visits to a minimum?

Holiday Kick-off 2011

started with a little in door snow

we apparently failed to realize that it was fake snow

and bundled him anyway.

its like heaven on earth for these two,

helps that they got a snowflake strobe light wand

they were $1 and all proceeds go to Children's Hospital.

Of course they will be seeing all of these kids soon,

as we are all pretty sure the light may cause seizures.

it's insanely annoying

which means kids LOVE it.

we had a very BIG day that day

Our little man is 3

not really sure how or when that happened,

but its true he is "almost a big boy" now.

E is having a hard time not being a little baby anymore,

definitely doesn't want to be a big boy yet.

we celebrated my parents 40 wonderful years of marriage!

did I fail to mention that my sister threw out her back trying to close the liftgate of my car on the way to the restaurant? Needless to say this is how she got out of the car once we got home. This was not the first time I have carried her like this and I doubt it will be the last. Just another reason she is lucky that her little sis, is not so little! See that seat in the corner? That is as far as she made it, the smile was strictly for the photo.

A few weeks ago this little guy had the big time flu,

anyone who knows me knows that i am not a drinker, but this deliciousness might make me change my mind. a few weeks ago i was having a "day" and my darling neighbor kerry decided to cheer me up with a drink, and my life was forever changed. that might seem a little dramatic but after you try it you will understand what i am talking about. mix it with a little o.j. and you have an adult orange julius(the only way i have tried it). i hear it is great with just about everything like root beer, cranberry juice etc. my advice is to get yourself to the nearest liquor store and get yourself a bottle(it comes in mini's). enjoy!
